Mission Istanbul: An Unintentional commedy???
Mr. Aporva Lakhia ( chichi director ) please stop copying stunt scenes. We Indians are very observing when it comes to cinematic plagiarism. Some very good Hollywood scenes were copied Arnold Schwazanegar in Terminator 2 with that multiple machine gun, Tom Cruise in Mission Impossible 2, Keanu Reaves in Matrix and they didnt even leave Dhoom also!!. Its a definate waste of time unless You wanna see Turkey and a wailing George Bush. The cast is amazing with Miss Vivek Oberoi ( who badly needs a haircut ), Zaayed Khan ( blown out version of Pamela Anderson) and the villain who tries to emmulate Bruce lee and honestly is no where near it. The film has a good concept and story but fails to catch up with screenplay one can feel that its being dragged. Vivek Oberoi comes again in a trying-to-be-macho-man-look but fails as he lacks appeal. He looks more like a self-taught orthopaedic surgeon breaking bones. Some scenes are beautifull with a natural angle while others suck to an unimaginable extennt and can be called insipid. More justice could be done with acting and scene shots. rating is less than 2 out of 5. sorry Aporv but start with some more original and sensible cinema..
